LOS ANGELES – The social experiment that turned an ordinary citizen into an overnight hero is back with a corporate twist. Prime Video has announced that the highly anticipated second installment of the Jury Duty franchise, titled Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, will premiere on March 20, 2026.
Following the massive success of the original series—which saw Ronald Gladden unknowingly star in a fake court case—the new season shifts its focus to the high-stakes, often absurd world of corporate offsites.
The New “Hero”: Meet Anthony
This season’s unsuspecting lead is Anthony, a recently hired temporary worker who believes he is attending a standard annual retreat for a family-owned hot sauce company, Rockin’ Grandma’s.
Unbeknownst to Anthony, the entire company is a fabrication. Every colleague, executive, and hotel staff member he interacts with is a professional actor. The retreat is meticulously choreographed to test Anthony’s patience, ethics, and leadership as the company faces a dramatic “David vs. Goliath” takeover battle.
The Setup: Hot Sauce and High Stakes
The season explores the friction between small-business values and big-budget corporate ambition. Key details include:
- The Setting: A retreat at “Rockin’ Grandma’s,” where the company founder is preparing to step down.
- The Conflict: A polished private-equity team arrives to court the business, forcing Anthony into the middle of a corporate power struggle he believes is 100% real.
- The Tone: Producers promise the same “lightning in a bottle” mix of improv comedy and heartfelt moments that made the first season a Peabody Award winner.
Cast and Creative Team
While James Marsden famously played a “diva” version of himself in Season 1, he returns this year in an Executive Producer role alongside the original creative team, including Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (The Office).
The ensemble of actors playing Anthony’s “coworkers” includes:
- Jerry Hauck as Doug, the lovable but retiring founder.
- Alex Bonifer as Dougie Jr., the well-meaning but directionless heir.
- Emily Pendergast as Amy, a die-hard “Swiftie” in customer relations.
Release Schedule
Prime Video will roll out the season in three weekly installments:
- March 20: Three-episode premiere.
- March 27: Two new episodes.
- April 3: Three-episode season finale.
Note: A separate horror-thriller film also titled “Corporate Retreat” (starring Alan Ruck) is slated for a May 2026 theatrical release, but it is unrelated to this Prime Video comedy series.
