After nearly nine months of filming, HBO’s critically acclaimed drama Euphoria has officially wrapped production on its third season, marking a major milestone for the series and its devoted fanbase.
A Long-Awaited Return
Production began in February 2025 and concluded in early November, with cast and crew celebrating the wrap in Los Angeles. Sydney Sweeney, who plays Cassie Howard, confirmed the news during a panel for her upcoming film Christy, saying, “I wrapped last week though, it’s very exciting. We filmed since February”.
Season 3 is slated to premiere in spring 2026, more than four years after Season 2 concluded in February 2022. The new season will consist of eight episodes, continuing the show’s tradition of emotionally intense, visually striking storytelling.
Returning Cast and New Faces
Zendaya returns as Rue Bennett, alongside series regulars Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Eric Dane, and Sydney Sweeney. Colman Domingo reprises his role as Ali in a guest capacity. New additions to the cast include Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry (both promoted to series regulars), and Jeff Wahlberg in a recurring role.
A Shift in Time and Tone
Season 3 will reportedly feature a time jump, taking the characters beyond their high school years into new emotional and psychological terrain. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, HBO executives have hinted at a darker, more mature tone that reflects the characters’ evolving lives.
Wrap Party and Industry Buzz
The wrap party, held in Los Angeles, was attended by several cast members including Sweeney, Chloe Cherry, Nika King, and Daeg Faerch. The event has sparked renewed excitement among fans and industry insiders, especially as speculation grows about whether Season 3 will be the show’s final chapter.
What’s Next?
With post-production underway, HBO is expected to ramp up promotional efforts in early 2026. While no official trailer has been released, anticipation is already building for what promises to be a bold and emotionally charged continuation of the Euphoria saga.
