CULVER CITY, Calif. — The wait for Briar University’s most famous hockey stars is nearly over. Prime Video has officially announced that Off Campus, the highly anticipated series based on Elle Kennedy’s international bestselling novels, will premiere globally on May 13, 2026.
In a move that will delight “binge-watch” enthusiasts, the streaming giant confirmed that all episodes of the first season will drop at once in over 240 countries and territories.
From BookTok Sensation to the Screen
Created for television by Louisa Levy, the series adapts the “college soap” atmosphere that made Kennedy’s books a viral phenomenon on platforms like TikTok. The first season specifically tackles the events of the first book, The Deal, centering on the unlikely alliance between a reserved music major and the university’s star athlete.
- The Plot: Hannah Wells, a wry songwriter, strikes a deal with Garrett Graham, Briar U’s star hockey center. What begins as a “fake dating” arrangement to help each other achieve their social goals quickly spirals into a passionate, emotionally complex romance.
- The Themes: Beyond the “opposites attract” romance, the show explores the high-intensity world of college athletics, personal growth, and the messy transition into adulthood.
Meet the Stars of Briar U
The production has assembled a cast of rising stars to bring the beloved characters to life:
- Ella Bright (The Crown) stars as Hannah Wells.
- Belmont Cameli (Saved by the Bell) takes on the role of Garrett Graham.
- Josh Heuston (Heartbreak High) appears as Justin Kohl, Hannah’s longtime crush.
- Supporting Cast: The ensemble includes Mika Abdalla (Allie), Antonio Cipriano (Logan), Jalen Thomas Brooks (Tucker), and Stephen Kalyn (Dean).
Early Vote of Confidence
Prime Video isn’t just betting on a successful launch; they are planning for the long haul. In a rare move for a new property, the studio officially renewed the series for a second season in February, months before the Season 1 premiere.
”Off Campus captures the kind of character-driven storytelling that resonates with our global audience,” said Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios.
Fans can now catch the official teaser trailer to get their first look at the chemistry between Bright and Cameli on the ice.
