BIRMINGHAM, UK — By order of the Peaky Blinders, the wait for Tommy Shelby’s return is nearly over.
Netflix and creator Steven Knight have officially confirmed that the long-awaited feature film continuation of the hit series, titled Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, will hit select global cinemas on March 6, 2026, followed by its worldwide streaming debut on Netflix on March 20, 2026.
The announcement follows months of anticipation and was accompanied by a gritty first-look teaser trailer that showcases a weathered, older Tommy Shelby navigating the chaotic onset of World War II.
The Story: Tommy Shelby at War
Set in 1940 Birmingham, the film finds Thomas Shelby (Academy Award winner Cillian Murphy) forced out of a self-imposed exile. With the country at war with Nazi Germany, the “Immortal Man” must decide if he can truly leave his violent past behind or if he must step back into the shadows to protect his family and his nation.
Steven Knight, the architect of the Peaky universe, promised a “no-holds-barred” cinematic experience:
“It will be an explosive chapter. Full-on Peaky Blinders at war. Tommy has a choice to make: confront his legacy or let it burn to the ground.”
A Star-Studded Return
The film bridges the gap between the original series and a new era, featuring a mix of legendary returning faces and high-profile Hollywood newcomers.

The Future of the Franchise
While The Immortal Man serves as a massive milestone, it is reportedly not the final chapter. Reports suggest that this film will act as a “bridge” to two upcoming spin-off series currently in development at Netflix, focusing on a new generation of the Shelby crime syndicate.
As Cillian Murphy recently noted about his return: “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me. This one is for the fans.”
