LOS ANGELES — Veteran British rocker Sir Rod Stewart has canceled the remainder of his U.S. tour after undergoing a successful heart procedure, his representatives announced.
The 81-year-old singer was forced to cut short his ongoing “One Last Time” tour and subsequent performances in Mexico after doctors advised him to take a mandatory four-week recovery period following a routine coronary stent procedure.
The medical intervention follows a series of sudden concert postponements earlier this week in Cincinnati and Cleveland, which venues initially attributed to minor health evaluations requiring prompt attention.
A Message to Fans
In a statement shared via social media, Stewart reassured fans that he is recovering well and expressed his regret over missing the remaining dates.
”I’m already feeling better and very much on the mend,” Stewart said. “I want to thank the doctors, nurses, and everyone who has taken such wonderful care of me. I am deeply disappointed to miss these shows and sorry to let my fans down, but I look forward to getting back on stage and having a good time with you all again soon.”
According to his publicists, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is “doing very well” following the operation and has already returned to normal daily activities. However, on the strict advice of his medical team, he must remain off the road for a full month to regain full fitness.
Impacted Tour Dates and Residences
The sudden cancellation affects a packed schedule of performances that were set to run through September, including:
- Upcoming Arena Dates: Concerts across Ohio, Illinois, and several locations in Mexico.
- Las Vegas Residency: A heavily anticipated six-night stretch at Caesars Palace.
Promoters and venue organizers have announced that ticket holders will receive direct communication regarding refunds or rescheduled dates as logistics are finalized. Stewart’s team noted that two further tour dates in Colorado currently remain on the calendar for September 2027.
The health scare is the latest hurdle for the legendary singer’s touring schedule, following previous postponements earlier this year due to a respiratory infection and a bout of laryngitis.
