LOS ANGELES — Netflix has released the first gripping teaser and official release date for Animals, an upcoming political thriller directed by and starring Ben Affleck alongside acclaimed actress Kerry Washington. The film is slated to hit select theaters and premiere globally on Netflix on October 9.
The newly dropped teaser offers a tense glimpse into the nightmare scenario that drives the plot. Affleck plays Mark Kimball, a prominent Los Angeles mayoral candidate, and Washington stars as his wife, Abigail. Their seemingly stable and successful family life is shattered in an instant when their son is abducted, thrusting them into a dark web of deception and moral compromise.
